Valerie Kathawala is a New York-based journalist and author. // A lifelong student of German language and culture, she specializes in the wines of Germany and Austria. // Her work appears regularly in the pages of Noble Rot, SevenFifty Daily, and other publications. // She is the co-founder and co-editor-in-chief of the wine magazine TRINK. // She is the author of the book German Wine Scholar® (2025). // Valerie is a proud member of the Circle of Wine Writers and the Authors Guild. She serves on the Board of Slow Food Hudson Valley and is an active volunteer with Columbia Kitchen.
